Biomass Analysis Tool

The Biomass Analysis Tool generates estimates of net energy available from conversion of biomass feedstocks to electrical or heat energy or conversion to Ethanol. The result of the tool, is a printable map and report that includes estimates of the net energy that could be generated if biomass conversion technologies were located at the user indicated location.

To use the tool, click Biomass Analysis , click on the map at the desired location and the Biomass Analysis Tool user dialog appears. The Biomass Analysis Tool uses a step by step process collecting information from the user that will be factored into the analysis. The process either must be completed or the dialog closed before the user can return to interacting with the map and the rest of the website.

To view information about the conversion formulas used in the analysis click here. To close the Biomass Analysis Tool user dialog and refresh the page, click Biomass Tool Close image. To close the Biomass Analysis Tool without refreshing the page click the Cancel button.
